# Reports and exports

> Generate PDF reports and export full snapshot data as JSON.

# Reports and exports

Driftmark supports two export-oriented outputs:

* tenant PDF reports
* snapshot JSON exports

## PDF reports

PDF reports are generated per tenant and are intended for:

* audit evidence packs
* stakeholder review
* recurring compliance reporting

You can generate a PDF manually from the tenant page and, for eligible plans, schedule emailed reports.

### Report schedules

Report schedules are configured per tenant connection.

Supported frequencies depend on the plan:

* Standard: monthly
* Pro and MSP: monthly or quarterly
* Core: not available

Scheduled reports are delivered by email to the configured recipient list.

## Snapshot JSON export

Each snapshot includes a JSON export action.

The JSON export is the full-fidelity machine-readable representation of the snapshot and includes:

* organization metadata
* snapshot metadata
* tenant connection context
* selected template details
* normalized resources
* normalized items and associated data payloads

This export is useful for:

* archival
* troubleshooting
* external processing
* downstream integrations

## When to use PDF vs JSON

Use PDF when the audience is human and needs a polished summary.

Use JSON when you need the underlying snapshot data for archival, analysis, or another workflow outside the UI.
