Workspaces

A workspace is the isolation boundary for Driftmark. Each workspace has its own:
  • tenant connections
  • snapshot templates
  • snapshots
  • billing
  • user memberships

Workspace types

Driftmark supports two workspace modes:
  • self
    • one organization monitoring its own tenant or tenants
  • msp
    • a service provider monitoring multiple customer tenants
The workspace type affects plan presentation and how you are likely to use multi-tenant monitoring, but the core snapshot flow is the same.

User roles

Current roles are:
  • owner
  • admin
  • member
owner and admin can manage:
  • Microsoft tenant connections
  • snapshot templates
  • user management
  • billing
  • organization settings
member is intended for users who need access to review data but not manage workspace configuration.

Organization settings

Workspace settings include:
  • name
  • slug
  • type
These are available under organization settings in the app.

Invites and membership

Users can be added through workspace user management and invite flows. Invite acceptance attaches a user to an existing organization with a specific role.

Billing relationship

Billing is tied to the workspace, not to an individual user. Plan limits and capabilities such as tenant count, snapshot scheduling behavior, retention, and report schedule availability are evaluated at the workspace level.
